Me!

With a career in health, one is committed to caring for others

An oncologist whom I admire very much once declared: "Dying is not losing. The goal for all of us is to live as well as we can for as long as we can and then to accept death as a natural, inevitable final common pathway of life."

These profound words constitute an important message, one which heavily informs my approach to life (in general) and the privileged meaning I gain from practising medicine as a doctor. Please feel free to get in touch.

Initial Medical Interests

My initial foray into undergraduate biomedical research led me to the cardiovascular system. I undertook research in cardiovascular proteomics, vascular (carotid) surgery, and myocardial genetics.

Pre-Clinical Interests

Soon after starting medical school, I realised that my cardiovascular research interests did not translate into a clinical interest in cardiology. I enjoyed infectious diseases pre-clinically and tutor on this topic to this day.

Clinical Interests Now

Having undertaken clinical placements in medical and radiation oncology here in the UK and abroad in Japan, I am very interested in pursuing a career in academic oncology—currently more so radiation than medical.
